I'm Not High Maintenance
I’m not high maintenance
You’re probably like what? A hairdresser who’s not high maintenance? Yes, it’s TRUE. I highly value my appearance. But I would be lying if I told you it’s all I think about or obsess over.
Having 4 kids in 4 years taught me something-style is not something you buy or get. It’s something you already possess. It’s what makes us all unique. I’m here to help you discover it.
Your hair is important. It tells the world who we are and what we’re communicating. And when I was up to my eyeballs in diapers and sippy cups I had to figure out how I could still express myself but had to ditch the extra shit. So what I love is simple. Keep it simple and make it good. (Is that even a saying?)
So here it is: quality. Quality is a look that doesn’t cost a fortune in dollars or time but still makes you feel like your best self. I love a good t-shirt and jeans but I ALWAYS style my hair. Some days that is dry shampoo and a pony tail but I have the right color for me and a stylish haircut.
A long time ago my mom gave me a Bobbi Brown book called Beauty Evolution. The principles she teaches on make-up and skin care are the basic skills to bring out the best in you. You’re already great. The point I’m making is the same: you’re hair doesn’t need lengthy services and gobs of products. It needs to be enhanced to look it’s absolute best. That’s my favorite thing to do.
I want to go on record as saying that I don’t mean you shouldn’t pay your professional what they’re worth, what I’m saying is that if you’re a low maintenance gal like me you should not have to work so hard to look great.
